Took several pictures of the balloons as they were released at The Ohio State University at Ohio Stadium ~ the rest of the series are loaded onto the stock site =WDWParksGal-Stock
I have additional stock pictures of those balloons on my stock site from a photo shoot at the stadium that day. Plus, I made a variety of wallpapers out of it. The balloons are one of my most popular deviations
Did you do any photoshop on the balloons? Balloons usually have bright, fully saturated, monotone coloration, but these are textured, like apple skins, and are an atypically deep, rich shade of red.
The balloons were scarlet, as in scarlet and gray, the school colors for The Ohio State University. The camera was a small digital camera that I had zoomed in to take pictures, as the balloons took off right before a game. They were pretty far away from where I was sitting. This picture isn't photoshopped, but I did photoshop a few to create wallpapers. Also, there are other pictures I posted at =WDWParksGal-Stock ~ all are available to be used as stock and have been used on all sorts of websites, as well as manipulations!
I have taken this picture and made other versions of it, like enhancing the color, making it a manip, etc. and have several of the other pictures I took that day on my stock site. For some reason this is one of my most popular deviations
Well the reason I like it is because one, it brings back childhood memories of doing balloon releases at school--you'd release the balloons and put the school address on it and you could win prizes if someone found and returned it.
Two...the balance is perfect. It almost looks like you placed them there on purpose. Evenly spaced.
The bright red color is pretty against the blue sky.
And it's just...a feel-good pic I guess! Whimsical and natural. C:
Thank you. That is the first time anyone has explained to me WHY it is thought to be a good picture. The balloons were let loose at an Ohio State Game from Ohio Stadium and I used the zoom on an older model camera, so it was pure luck that the balloons were spaced the way they are.
