Could not believe how dark this one cloud looked versus the other clouds. The barren trees nearly shook to the core of their trunks ..... and it sure ended up being stormy that day!
The Maple in the backyard still has a lot of its leaves. It takes the longest to turn, too. It just looks beautiful in the fall... it looks beautiful in the spring, too, but especially in the fall!
I remember seeing it in 1977 in Orlando, FL. over the Fourth of July weekend. I was visiting my Aunt and Uncle and my cousin said I just had to see this new movie! I had not even heard of it till then. Wow! What a jump in special effects for the time! It is still one of my favorite movies.
It really changed how movies were made. My husband and I were in Orlando that year as well. We had gone to a convention down in Key Biscayne for my husband's work and my sister was done with school in Kissimme. We drove back up there from Miami and waited a few days for her to finish up before driving on back to Ohio. Once there, Steve wanted to know if I wanted to go to the Magic Kingdom. I said, "oh, I don't know, do you think it will be any fun?" Famous last words!!!
I've always just loved all the trees in Ohio, especially during the fall when they are all shades of colors.
