And the vet bills have been staggering.... nearly $5000 over the last 2 1/2 years with hospitalizations and surgeries for urine-related illnesses (one of the troubles with older male kitties). We now have a special kitty formula to feed the cats that we purchase from the vet. It is denser than the food purchased in the grocery and very specific for nutrition. We have to measure it out daily and three cups is all they get. Amazingly it lasts all day. I never realized there was such a difference in the food purchased from a vet and the food purchased at a store!
Oh, I am sure not. It is probably the fact I use an old Firefox version on an old laptop. The laptop works just fine but it weighs a ton ~ I use the old Firefox so that my dA extensions work on it. Otherwise it can be slow.
There are moments here in DA where I am in awe of the talent and dedication that is needed to produce such amazing art such as this piece. I am a poet and I paint with my words and seeing such beauty as this, gives me inspiration to write more. A is my way of thanking you for who you are and what you give to me via your art...
That is the nicest thing anyone has said to me on dA. I am so glad you like it and feel inspired. There are times I feel inspired, too. I was inspired to take a lot of pictures of the snow and couldn't resist Storm sitting in the window taking it all in. He is only eight and a half-months old and it is his very first snow. He was truly in awe
Exactly! We have loads of birds' nests each year that the cats cannot get to and they sure wish they could (I have four large male cats ~ this kitty is only eight months old and will get bigger ~ he currently weighs ten pounds). The mother birds will chirp and raise hell every time we try and go out the front door. One summer we had to go out through the garage because the mother bird would try and dive at us to "protect" her youngins'
Hehehe we have a bird that likes to tease the cats. It has been coming here for years. What it does is walk back and forth in front of the balcony door and when the cats pounce at the door it just sits there all still and looks at them all evil like. LOL
Our cats that go outside do the same thing to the neighbor's dog who is inside a fence. He barks up a storm and runs back and forth while Stitch or Mink will just sit a few feet away with his head slightly off to the right (the dog is to the left) pretending as if he cannot see or hear a thing
And boy did he try and get outside. Silly. I had the storm door open a few inches to get some pictures (the front porch was filled with snow up over the railing before the snow eased up) and he tried to get out. I kept trying to push him away with my right foot. At one point he was sitting in the doorway with his head sticking out of the storm door. I did get pictures but they haven't been posted yet. Those will probably go on the stock site. One cat insisted on going out so I opened the back door and snow poured onto the carpet. And the dumbsky went outside. I thought he would come right back in because there was no place to go but he eased himself along the side of the house where there is a bit of a gap between the porch and the house and went underneath the porch!!!
Oh, he is! He is so very precious and loving. He is a treasured pet and was a gift from my brother and his wife. We lost our black kitty summer before last and my heart was broken. Now I have another black kitty to love.
