DDs for February ~ WDWParksGal

Lord Theodore James Whitney by MoonYen

Lord Theodore James Whitney by MoonYen

Lord Theodore James Whitney by *MoonYen =TimberClipse say's "This is an absolutely adorable and brilliant groundhog! Not only is it well made, but the comments, as well as accessories by *moonyen gives "Lord Theodore James Whitney" an awesome personality!" It is Groundhog Day! February 2nd! If the Groundhog sees his shadow there will be six-more weeks of winter.... at least in the upper hemisphere! Don't know what Groundhog's Day is? Link to this Wikipedia page Punxsutawney Phil and The Official Site of the Punxsutawney Phil Groundhog Club. It is a hoot! And the Groundhog is usually right!

Deviant list on the watch menu by Selene-Blackthorn

Deviant list on the watch menu by *Selene-Blackthorn Category: dA-related/Suggestions/Visual Suggestion: =TimberClipse says, " *selene-blackthorn has proposed a brilliant addition to the friends' feature on dA. The ability to have lists of friends. Not only will this make keeping track of friends a lot easier, but it will also add future options that could be added to dA. Features like "Note this group" and everyone who is your friend in that group would receive the note. As the deviant also notes in the description, this would make organization of friends in the "Manage my Friends" section a lot easier as well." I have to agree. I, too, have a few folders to make my "friends" easier to find, but when I add a deviant to my watch, I have to wait for the list to load to put the latest deviant into the folder of choice. Being able to access my folder lists from the dialog box would be an amazing time saver!

White Rabbit New Year by mari-na

White Rabbit New Year by mari-na

White Rabbit New Year by *mari-na In Celebration of Chinese New Year, February 3, 2011, I want to commemorate the celebration with this beautiful deviation that emphasizes the fact that it is the Year of the Rabbit! The Suggester, *svet-svet says, " February 3, 2011 - begins a New Year of the White Rabbit in Oriental Astrological Calendar! This artist never ceases to amaze the community, she has used many stocks from DeviantArt to celebrate the Chinese New Year, creating an incredible photomanipulation. She gave birth to a wonderful composition using bright and lovely colors, which highlights all the graceful details and with a touch of paint, she has managed to mix lights, shadows, colors and gradients to achieve this captivating result. Happy Chinese New Year 2011!!"

Group Pre-Submission Agreement by vest

Group Pre-Submission Agreement by vest

Group Pre-Submission Agreement by `vest Category: dA-related/Suggestions/Visual Suggestions: =TimberClipse states rather emphatically, "Can you say BRILLIANT!? 'nuff said." Having a clear, concise Group Submission Agreement that outlines what the rules are and what submissions are accepted in that group, would probably eliminate a lot of ineligible submissions or errors, ergo easing hurt feelings when a submission is denied. Excellent idea.

--Lillian-- by Nuyina-Photography

--Lillian-- by ~Nuyina-Photography ^ShellDevil states, "Because its WOW, its soft and delicate and pretty." I have to concur. The dress is gorgeous, with its many layers and how the layers are placed for the photoshoot. The sepia look, the precious look on the face of the model, the black background... all create a wonderful professional look.

DA: New Full-View Proposal by *z-design This is in the dA-related/dA-Suggestions/Visual Category. =erdile states, "This is a fantastic suggestion to help make practical and better looking full views, without having to download the image. Navigating the image by dragging it with the mouse makes it much easier to view very large images and, all in all, I find this a very useful feature DeviantART can think of trying to implement in the future to improve the site itself!" deviantART dictionary by lost-angle

deviantART dictionary by `lost-angle `namenotrequired states, " `lost-angle's deviantART dictionary is a great tutorial explaining a lot of things and terms that I found many deviants are wondering about, in alphabetical order. There's also a text version available if you can't see the visual file. This also makes it easier to quickly search for a certain term you're wondering about (by using F3 or Ctrl+F)."

Recommended Friends by parallellogic

Recommended Friends by parallellogic

Recommended Friends by `parallellogic namenotrequired Says about this dA-related Stamp, "To clarify, Recommended Friends by `parallellogic may be under the 'stamp' category, but it is more than that; it is a tool that allows you to find new people you're likely to want to watch, based on who you're watching already. A very helpful resource and done in a unique way, interactive even. Since people have to comment in order to discover their recommended friends, featuring this would of course cause many comments on the DD for `parallellogic to catch up on... but I've spoken to him about how it works and it requires hardly any time or effort on his side so he'd be able to handle it well :)"

Just an idea by jotazombie

Just an idea by *jotazombie The suggester states, "I think this is a great idea to solve the problem of using special characters in titles, something necessary for using our own languages and punctuation marks. Because titles are important and part of the artwork." Be sure to read the artist description, as it covers an issue with Spanish that I had to emphasize to my parents when they were readying to travel to Cancun many years ago. Pronunciation and other markings can be everything in languages other than English!

Flowers for you... by wicked-vlad

Flowers for you... by ~wicked-vlad This was suggested anonymously and this is what was said with the note, " A lovely gift for Valentines Day to anyone who loves art & flowers, masterfully painted by this talented painter!!!" The oil painting has a bit of a surreal look to it with the arm and hand coming up from the bottom with the brush painting another flower. There are vases on a table, just full of breathtakingly beautiful flowers, then there are lilies to the right as if floating on a pond. Happy Valentine's Day 2011.

Aside from a Daily Deviation being a great birthday present for *Crimefish (she's turning 23 on February 23rd!), she is one of the most talented traditional artists I've come to known. Critique Suggestion by *chocolatecrusade Category: dA-Related/Suggestions/Visual The suggester states that this is "For anyone who has ever browsed the Critiqueable Gallery and found it difficult to find something in a category you know enough about to critique. This simple suggestion would greatly aid in finding pieces to critique and those who want feedback." I do understand that requesting critiques is a Premium Member perk, but for now, many deviants that are Premium Members are asking for critiques but not receiving any! This would greatly assist those who want to receive critiques from those deviants capable of giving them.
