Most Members of DisneyDreams follow the rules. For this the Administrators are most grateful; however, the group has become quite large since its inception in 2005, so there are some issues that need to be dealt with. Members are encouraged to read and digest the following information in order for the group to run more smoothly.

:iconnewsboyplz: Recently, DisneyDreamers, as well as disney-parkhoppers has had some issues with submissions. There could be a photo without a single word of description or a character that hasn't been fully introduced yet or an obscure scene or character that not all the admins are familiar with. The Artist Descriptions could be totally blank.

Perhaps there is a TV show very popular with very young people. The show may not be at all familiar with Administrators of the group that are older (anywhere from their twenties to sixties ~ as in years old) who do not have young children or grandchildren, ergo having no way to connect to that particular show. Without some background information about a submission described in the artist description, the vetting process can take longer than it should. It is not possible for the Admins of the group to know every character, TV Show, obscure Park Picture or a random ceiling in a Resort food court. Having said that, the Admins use the vetting process to find out if the submission is in any way Disney-related. Without a proper Artist Description an admin either has to do a TinEye search, Google™ search or send a comment to the deviant to ask what the submission pertains to. All this takes time, energy and delays a submission from being accepted.

Therefore, from now on when a submission lacks an artist description and the admins are uncertain of the origin of said submission, the member will receive the following message, along with a denial (member will have to wait a full week to submit again):

":bulletblue: It would really help in the vetting process if you would put in the artist description who a character is and what film/park/etc. the character is from. If a submission is a photo please state what it is and where it was taken. It is important to give copyright/trademark credit to the Disney Corp. in the artist description as well. Having a proper artist description saves time during the vetting process to avoid having to send a comment to ask about the submission then waiting for the answer, or for the admins to have to do a Google™ search to figure out who a character is. It benefits all those involved to have a proper artist description to avoid confusion or questions."

RULES, FAQs and REMINDERS

:bulletpurple: Please reread the Group's FAQs on the Profile Page as a Reminder as to what is and is not acceptable in the group's gallery.
:bulletpurple: Even when posting your own photos or artwork it is best to give a ©/™ credit to The Disney Corporation at the bottom of the Artist Description prior to submitting to your gallery.
:bulletpurple: Absolutely NO screenshots or use of official copyrighted materials, including official Logos used in a deviation will be accepted into the group's gallery.
:bulletpurple:  DisneyDreamers is not like some other groups that fail to properly vet submissions prior to accepting. This group follows DA's TOS and ©/™ Policies to a 'T'. Failing to comply with the group's rules could lead to having a membership revoked.
:bulletpurple: Tracing copyrighted art, Coloring Book Pages and Painted Over Screenshots/Caps are not acceptable media on DeviantART. This is not Facebook™. The gallery of any given deviant is meant for his/her own work. To quote the Founder:

"dA is meant for artists to showcase their own art and their own photographs; taking something from somewhere on the internet and using it does not make it yours, not even if "credit" is given. There is legitimate stock readily available on dA (use the search bar) that may be used in creating a deviation; however, Google™ is not a "stock site".  Posting deviations that use images not copyrighted/trademarked to you can lead to the deletion of your work by dA."

:please: Please follow the group's rules. Do not argue with an admin who may ultimately send a decline message (it takes two admins to accept or decline any given submission). Send a note to the group with your counter-argument, so the Founder can respond directly to the issue.

Question I'm not sure if it was in the FAQ page, do pieces qualify for a submission if a Non-Disney character is wearing a Disney/Disney-inspired outfit/costume?

Thanks!
